Artists never really create anything. "Create" is the wrong word to use here. To say "rearrange" would be more correct, simply because no new matter is being created at this time, in the known universe. All any of us can do is "rearrange" already existing elements, making it appear we have created something else. This is where Art meets Life. I say this because are all "artists" in the sense that we create daily.

The artististic, creative mindset does not belong solely to artist types. It is a shared trait of human nature. As a species, we strive to create. To dream, to invent, are in our DNA.

Our very ability to be creative as a species is granted, inspired, and even guided by our Creator. Imagine a Creator creating a creature who creates. Now imagine us as that creature. I believe you have imagined correct.

Now if we harnessed electricity only to electrocute ourselves, or to disperse it like lightening outward in all directions, that would not be beneficial. Creativity in and of itself is an "electrical" thing. But, it can "electrocute" us, or those around us. At the very least, it can "shock." We have to have the right kind of "conduit" to channel our creativity. Otherwise, our creative "voltage" is the lightening contrary to the One who has created us.

According to the law of freedom, we are that which we have created. We can see what we have made of our world, and of ourselves. We were granted the ability by our Creator to create. Wow. Are we going to create as He did? Hardly. Because He is Perfect and we are not? Hardly, even though we are not. We can only "rearrange." It only appears to us that we create.

Our Creator roams the galleries of our hearts. We may have had artshows and exhibits, open presentations of our most intimate creative expressions, but there is no canvas like our heart. It is only when I roam the hillsides of His creation that creativity even begins to make any sense.
